Local Cost-Share Opportunities

The NRCS is only one source of financial assistance for producers. There are several cost-share opportunities for producers that are seeking to implement conservation practices on their land across the state and specifically for producers within the Western Lake Erie Basin (WLEB).
 Statewide Cost-Share Opportunities
Michigan Environmental Agricultural Assurance Program (MAEAP).

Cost share is available for a limited number of practices. Request information on eligibility requirements here.
Western Lake Erie Basin (WLEB) Cost-Share Opportunities
Is my farm located in the WLEB?
Farmer-Led Conservation Cost-Share: Applications are reviewed on a first-come first-serve basis by a farmer-led conservation group. Applications reviewed monthly. Grant closes in September 2019. More information on the farmer-led cost-share here.
Accelerating Conservation in the WLEB Cost-Share
STRAND Cost Share Funding

This program will provide cost-share for farmers in the Western Lake Erie Basin to try new and enhanced practices.
