The Native Plant Expo & Marketplace (NPEM) offers one convenient location to shop for Michigan native plants from several Michigan native plant growers, learn how to establish and maintain native landscapes and connect with companies specializing in planning native landscapes for residents in Washtenaw County and the surrounding areas.
EARLY BIRD HOUR!
We returning with the exclusive "Early Bird Hour" from 8 am to 9 am, offering enthusiasts a chance to explore native treasures before the crowd.
Early Bird Hour tickets are $5 or $10 day-of. The event is free, no tickets required, from 9 am until 1 pm. Returning in 2025 for 3rd year:
Milkweed Giveaway! In 2023, thanks to a generous donation, we were able to give 2888 Milkweed plants (5 species of Asclepias) to over 950 residents, and in 2024 gave 2400 to over 630 residents. There will be ample opportunity to purchase a wide variety of additional plants, seeds and services. The event offers both pre-ordered and day-of sales.

Volunteers needed for the 2025 Native Plant Expo & Marketplace! The Native Plant Expo & Marketplace is supported by the efforts of many volunteers. Volunteers help set-up, plant order sorting, and getting orders to customers. It's a fun way to learn the plants and meet the community of growers. |

The Native Plant Expo & Marketplace at the Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds was a wonderful success! We estimated over 2200 people attended the event and the presale distributed over 11,000 native plants! (not including what vendors sold at the Expo & Marketplace barns) |
