The Conservation District appreciates the support by Washtenaw County residents. If you are interested in supporting the District with a tax-deductible donation or as a program volunteer, refer to the information below.
Donations Tax deductible donations are accepted as part of tree, plant or rain barrel sales, and separately. To make a donation anytime, please print a donation form (PDF), complete and send with your check or credit card information to the District at the address listed on the form. We will send you a receipt to use for tax purposes. Thank you for your support!
Volunteers As needed, District programs may need volunteers for the positions listed below. Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer with the District will be asked to complete a Volunteer Profile and Agreement before being considered for a volunteer position. For more information or for questions about volunteering with the Conservation District, contact the District Manager at (734) 761-6721 ext. 5 or by e-mail.
Tree/Plant Day Volunteer: assemble tree or native plant orders for customers either at a tree sale distribution day, or in advance of the event.
Rain Barrel Sale Volunteer: load rain barrels and tumbling composters into customer vehicles at a rain barrel sales event.
Fish Day Volunteer: assist workers for fish hatchery and customers at Fish Day event.
Educational Presenter: make educational presentations and/or staff booths or displays at fairs or other community events.
Office Assistant: provide assistance to District staff with various office functions.
