Native Plant Expo & Marketplace
Apply to be a Vendor!

The Washtenaw County Native Plant Expo & Marketplace offers landowners one convenient location to shop for Michigan native plants from several Michigan native plant growers, learn how to establish and maintain native landscapes, and connect with companies specializing in planning and native landscapes.

Previous vendors have included: native plant nurseries, watershed councils, conservation services/contractors, local conservation clubs, and more. Apply now to join the Expo in 2021.

PREPARE FOR OUTDOORS. Due to COVID-19, the Expo will be OUTSIDE on the Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds this year. Vendors are required to bring all necessary supplies (tables, tents, chairs, etc.). Electricity will not be available, so plan ahead.  We will be rain or shine, unless weather conditions are severe, we might go inside or have to cancel or reschedule the event. The layout outdoors will be similar to a farmer market, with roughly 10x10 spaces and at least 20 feet between vendors. It is a big open area, You can request more space if needed. We aim to have 20 vendors.

Native Plant presale distribution:
The pre-orders managed through the WCCD online store, will be held on the grounds next to Expo. Customers will not need tickets to pick up those preorders, but will need a ticket to enter the Expo. Vendors are encouraged to organize their own pre-sales if applicable.

Expo Sponsorship:
Vendors and partnering organizations are invited to sponsor the event, and will receive marketing benefits based on the sponsorship level. Vendors can indicate sponsorship level on the application. See our Expo Sponsorship page for more information.

A Expo map including the layout of vendors will be made available. Updates will be sent via email, to receive updates or for questions, contact the Event Manager, Doug Reith, via email at doug@washtenawcd.org or 734-302-8713.

Vendor application deadline: Friday May 7th

The sooner we receive the Vendor application (and possibly sponsorship) the sooner we will  include your organization on our website and in other outreach efforts in our Vendors list. Late applications will be considered if we have space at that time. In the case the Expo is cancelled, the application fees can be applied as a credit to next year or refunded as necessary.

Rules and Regulations:
All Vendors must agree and adhere to the stated rules and regulations:

COVID-19 Health Orders
All Vendors must comply with the local and state health orders regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. For the safety of Vendors and attendees, we are limiting capacity of attendees in hourly time slots, to control traffic flow and encourage safe physical distancing. Attendees will reserve free tickets ahead of time through our online store. We strongly encourage any Vendors selling goods to facilitate pre-sales in advance to reduce sales exchanges and customer interactions. These guidelines are subject to change. The latest COVID-19 guidelines and health orders are in the following PDF:
