We continue to evolve the tree sale to meet the needs of Washtenaw residents and align our shared missions with other organizations. This year was exemplary of this growth through partnerships, including some highlights:

Rain Barrels & Supplies Sales
We continue to offer Rain Barrel sales including a variety of rain barrels, 275 gallon totes, tumbling composters and many additional products. So far in 2024 over 62 Washtenaw residents have participated in water collection on their properties by purchasing:

The Equipment & Tool Lending Library grows!
In 2023 we launched a new Equipment & Tool Lending Library system offering various tools for soil testing, invasive removal, pruning, garden preparation, and planting. We have a Tree Seedling Transplanter and No-Till Grass Seed Drill for rent. Additionally, there are Herbicide Application tools offered in collaboration with the JLW CISMA. Much of the collection is also linked from the Ann Arbor District Library catalog.
Since the launch last spring, we've had over:
208 Total equipment rentals & tool loans
145 Total Residents participating
3,225 Trees planted with the tree planter in April 2024
18.6 Acres planted with the no-till drill in 2024
We've just announce new tools, including more of the popular tree puller tools, soil compaction tester, and a broadfork for garden preparation. We're working in collaboration with the Growing Hope Urban Farm's new tool bank to provide resources accessible in different locations in Washtenaw too.
