Shoreline Property

Picture
If you live on property adjacent to or near a body of water such as a lake, pond, river, stream, you are a riparian landowner and  you have a vested interest in preventing pollutants from septic system discharge, fertilizers, soil erosion, and other sources from entering the water.

Many activities on or around your property can affect water quality, so you have the ability to significantly improve what happens along your shore.

To learn more about the special water quality concerns for shoreline residents and actions you can take to avoid
contaminating surface water and groundwater, take a look at the "Managing Shoreline Property to Protect Water Quality" Home*A*Syst bulletin.
