Join the Michigan Forest Association!

​Join a community of forest owners, professional foresters, land managers, and anyone else who is interested in Michigan’s forests, woods, and trees.  The mission of the Michigan Forest Association (MFA) is to inspire and empower people to sustainably manage, conserve, and enjoy forests through education, advocacy, and fellowship.  MFA is a non-profit organization that provides sound, science-based information through workshops, newsletters, a quarterly magazine, field days, and legislative outreach and advocacy.  Here are just a few reasons to consider joining:

1. Access to the latest research and information about woodlands. MFA partners with educational institutions, government agencies, professional foresters, and land managers to provide sound, science-backed information, so you can confidently apply it to your own life or land.
2. Discounted or free access to events. Members receive discounted or free admission to MFA and partner facilitated events that educate and inspire responsible landowner stewardship.
3. Monthly newsletter and Quarterly Magazine subscription. Benefits include a welcome packet, monthly Leaves newsletter, quarterly Michigan Forests magazine, YouTube series “BeLEAF It or Not”, and website and social media content.
4. A fun and supportive community. MFA provides access to a network of professionals and resources.  Learn fun facts about trees, how relevant State legislation may impact forests or trees, or information about forest management.  Plus be the first to know about new publications.
5. Fund advocacy for woodland owners. Member dues sustain MFA’s tireless fight for healthy, sustainably-managed Michigan forests and to place agency in the hands of the landowner – you.
